Jim Reilly

James A. Reilly, 70, died April 30, in the UMASS Memorial Healthcare after a long illness.

Born in Melrose, MA he was the son of Edward A. Reilly and Winifred H. Bucknam, of Malden. He grew up in Shrewsbury.

Mr. Reilly attended Clark University where he earned a B.A and an M.A. in physics. He was employed as an optical designer and evaluator and as a quality control manager by American Optical, by Warner Lambert, and most recently by Precision Optics in Gardner, MA. He retired in late 1999.

He is survived by his wife Judith (Gladding) Reilly; his son Thomas E. Reilly of Auburn; his mother Winifred H.B. Smith of Shrewsbury.
