1909 Display at the Town Hall
Margaret Morrisey of Jacob Edwards Library informed me that the Central
Mills building of the 1800's can be linked to Manning Leonard and the Central
Mills, who was associated with the company from 1844 untile 1864. To find
out more, check out the Levi Chase Southbridge
History article!
I also learned from the late Milt Freeman that the Southbridge Public
Schools housed their 6th Grade in this building during the 1940's.
Does anyone remember this? If
so, please contact Dick Whitney.
